Terms of Service
These terms govern the notarial service arranged through this site. Requesting an appointment means you accept them.
The service
We arrange and carry out the remote online notarization of documents before a commissioned American notary, under the remote notarization regulations of the commissioning state and the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act. The act is performed in a live video session and the completed instrument is delivered electronically.
Fees
Fees are as published on the home page and are determined by the number of signers and notarial seals. Additional handling, such as issuance of an apostille through the Secretary of State, is priced separately and stated before the work begins.
Refund undertaking
If the notarized document is not accepted as admissible in the United States, the amount paid is returned in full. The undertaking covers the notarial act itself and does not extend to the substance of the document or to decisions taken by third parties for reasons unrelated to the notarization.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the documents submitted, for presenting valid identification in the session, for appearing as the person named in the document, and for a connection stable enough to allow the act to be performed.
No legal advice
Neither this site nor the notarial act constitutes legal advice, and neither creates an attorney and client relationship. A notary verifies identity and witnesses a signature; a notary does not advise on the content or the consequences of the document.
